What Are The Radium Springs In Georgia?

Located in the southwestern region of Georgia, the Radium Springs is one of the state’s 7 natural wonders.

Radium Springs gets its name since the water contains trace amounts of Radium which is the heaviest alkaline earth metal that’s also radioactive. A few things you’ll notice at the radium springs are the lush deep blue water, the mystical underwater foliage, and you’re also able to see the entrance of the large underwater cavern system.

The water remains at 68 degrees year-round. But unfortanatly, you’re not allowed to swim in the springs.
