Hike North Georgia’s Tallulah Gorge Floor To Bridal Veil Falls, one of the best-sliding waterfalls in the southeast.
Within the scenic wonders of North Georgia, the Tallulah Gorge invites intrepid hikers to embark on a thrilling adventure along its floor. The journey to Bridal Veil Falls, hidden within the heart of the gorge, promises a cascade of excitement and the chance to explore the dynamic landscapes of this natural marvel. To secure the opportunity, hikers must arrive early, as only 100 permits are issued each day. We arrived at 7:30 to wait in line 30 minutes before they opened to secure a permit.
Once equipped with a permit, hikers descend the steep staircase known as the Hurricane Falls Trail to reach the gorge floor. The journey unfolds along a rugged path that meanders through lush vegetation, offering glimpses of the roaring Tallulah River and the towering cliffs that define the gorge.
As hikers progress along the gorge floor, they encounter a series of captivating waterfalls that punctuate the landscape. L’Eau d’Or Falls, Oceana Falls, and Tempesta Falls are among the natural wonders that beckon, creating a symphony of sound and sight as the river cascades over the rocks.
